BEAUFORTAIN SAUSAGE
Inspired by the shape of a small log, this product puts a new twist on the traditional French dry-cured sausage, in a skinless, generous and melt-in-the-mouth version.
Made with pork and beef, with the beef sourced exclusively from the Coopérative Viande du Beaufortain abattoir, and featuring pieces of AOP Beaufort cheese from our cooperative.
To enhance its mountain character, each log is delicately coated in dried porcini mushroom powder, adding woody, aromatic notes reminiscent of the forests in our valleys.
A delicious and authentic recipe, created in the home of Beaufort cheese, perfect for sharing as an aperitif or enjoying with friends during a convivial gathering.
THE ANECDOTE OF BEAUFORTAIN
“The concave heel of our Beaufort is an emblematic symbol: it was designed to facilitate the transport of cheeses on muleback in the alpine pastures and to prevent them from collapsing during aging. This unique shape reflects a whole traditional know-how, passed down from generation to generation, and testifies to the work of the breeders and life in the alpine pastures.”
