Hiker’s Sandwich

Ingredients

For 1 person

  • 1/2 rustic baguette
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1 slice of country ham
  • 1/2 tomato
  • 20 g of Beaufort cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 2 sprigs of parsley
  • Salt and pepper

Recipe Steps

  • Crack the egg into a bowl.
  • Beat it into an omelette.
  • Add the grated Beaufort and chopped parsley.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the omelette in a pan with a tablespoon of oil.
  • Set aside.
  • Slice the baguette in half lengthwise.
  • Rub the inside with the pulp of the half tomato.
  • Fill with the omelette folded into quarters.
  • Spread the sliced onion and then add the slice of country ham.
  • Close the sandwich.
